Byzantine to Ottoman
Constantinian Walls, Istanbul
As someone who loves history, the name “Constantinople” never fails to make my heart race. The fall of the city in 1453, when the Ottoman Empire breached the formidable Theodosian Walls and captured it, is an event of immense significance in world history.

The city that transformed from Constantinople, a Greek city, to Istanbul, a Turkish city. The beautiful Bosphorus Strait and the Golden Horn remain as they were. What, then, has truly changed?
